Andrea is an excellent preceptor. She was very patient and extremely informative. Everything she explained to me used rationales that made sense and made it easy to remember. She allowed me to do my own thinking but provided guidance as well. Andrea gave me great feedback at all times. She helped me to practice detailed and thorough documentation and helped me to recognize what was important for change of shift reports. All of her feedback was given in a respectful manner. I never felt that she was impatient or that I was a burden, yet she did not hesitate to guide me in performing the best nursing practices when I needed that type of guidance. Andrea made my experience the best clinical experience I had in Nursing School. I really appreciate being able to work with her.

Andrea exhibited all of the LMC Values while working with one of the students. Being a preceptor, working one-on-one with a nursing student or a new graduate nurse, twelve hours at a time, is often both fun and exhausting at the same time; it is truly a wonderful thing to see the impact that she exhibited upon this student.
