Brandon took the time to explain my brother's quadruple bypass to him in terminology that he could understand. He did this several times and compassionately held him while he was crying and afraid. Brandon went above and beyond taking care of my brother. As my brother came out of surgery he had a bad reaction to the anesthesia. He could not be consoled. He pulled out his IV's, yelled at the nurses, no one could settle him down, no drug was working and finally they had to restrain him. Brandon happened to walk in the unit on his day off, with his young son. When he saw Brandon, my brother immediately turned into a pussy cat. He allowed the nurse to put the IV back in. Brandon sat by his side and held his hand until the medication put him to sleep. He then slept for 3 days. Brandon McWilliams is a wonderful Nurse; he made us feel like family!
