Marisa was caring for my father and just by her keen awareness and clinical expertise along with her compassion, could tell that he was not feeling well and stopped everything and took another look at him, knelt by him and took my father's hand and spoke to him and discovered he was in more pain than he could describe and was having increased heart symptoms. She simply took a second look and could tell by his demeanor. That is a nurse who is in touch with her patients. That is going above and beyond. She then set in motion a series of events that ensured he not only felt better but got the care that he needed. Marisa possesses that little "something extra" to be in touch with her patients and their families. She is the definition of excellence in nursing and we absolutely love her!
