I would like to nominate Amanda Kesler for the DAISY Award. This morning, after Amanda dropped her little boy off at school and was driving to work, she came upon a wreck. All she could see was a teenage boy sitting on the side of the road near a totaled vehicle. She turned the car around to see if she could assist. The boy suffered a bloody nose and bruising and the lady in the other car was being assisted by another bystander. Amanda stayed with the boy until his parents and emergency personnel could arrive. While waiting, Amanda called the boys school to inform them of the accident and that he was ok but would be late getting to school. The boy’s mother was so grateful for Amanda taking the time to turn around and stay with her scared teenage son as if he were her very own. For this reason, I believe Amanda deserves the DAISY Award.
