Sveta is always very connected to her patients and her care is guided by the unique needs of each patient she cares for. She is a compassionate and consummate advocate for her patients. Sveta is certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing and is clinically expert in providing care to our patients. She is selfless in making sure that her patients come first and there is nothing she would not do to make sure they are receiving excellent care.
In addition to working on the floor as a Staff Nurse, Sveta can step into the Charge Nurse role and function superbly. As part of this role, she assists her co-workers to manage their workloads and get them to their breaks. She is also a role model to the 4th floor team in working together to achieve positive outcomes for our patients.
As a Staff Nurse, Sveta buddies with and mentors new nurses in how to function on a very fast paced, high acuity floor. She is IV Certified and not only performs IV starts when needed, she educates staff to assist them in acquiring this skill. Sveta takes any patient assignment in stride and without complaint. She has excellent time management skills and prioritizes and adapts to the demands of her workload. Sveta will always take an extra patient when called upon and she frequently works extra shifts in order to facilitate safe staffing on the 4th floor.
Sveta is liked and respected by her patients and families, co-workers and physicians. She is frequently requested by both physicians and nursing supervisors to translate for Russian speaking patients throughout the Hospital. Sveta is consistently and positively recognized by her co-workers during Staff Rounding and by her patients in Avatar comments and follow up patient calls.

Comments from her patients:
"One nurse in particular, Sveta, was the best nurse I've had in my entire life! She was just so responsive!"
"Sveta is my favorite; she is the most awesome nurse. She gives 110% of her time when she's here."
"Sveta, RN, has a heart of gold. Nothing would get in her way to do what she thought was right."
"I was very impressed with the attention and service of the staff especially Sveta, who made me feel like she was tending to a family member."
Sveta is a devoted, compassionate nurse who always advocates for her patients and consistently puts them first. This month, I posted a training position on one of my units, and encouraged staff to start recommending individuals they think would be a good fit for the opportunity and for the team. I started to hear from several staff members about a nurse on 4th floor, Sveta. I even had an OR nurse new to Surgical Services stop me in the hall and say, "You know who would be great for your training position, Sveta from the 4th floor. You wouldn't go wrong by hiring her." It is obvious that Sveta is one of the foundational nurses on the 4th floor during a tremendous amount of change and staff turnover. Her dedication to her team, the unit and her manager is commendable. Nurses from around the hospital sing her praise!
