I went into labor with my little girl seven weeks early at 32 weeks and two days. Ashtyn Wylie was with me as I delivered and was an absolute blessing from God. I opted not to take any pain medication during my labor and she respected my wishes. She immediately started suggesting natural alternatives such as pressure points, positioning, massages, etc. Her suggestions helped immensely, and she taught my husband how to help me through.
Ashtyn asked about my favorite music and played songs on her cell phone to help to relax me. At one point I started to feel as though I couldn't do it anymore and she firmly told me that I could do it and would do it. She helped me find the strength to keep going. This was my first time giving birth and I don't think I could have done it without her keeping me calm and talking me through. She made the entire experience a positive one and for that, I will be eternally grateful. She is truly a blessing, an outstanding nurse, and a wonderful human being. She absolutely deserves this award!
