Nicki went above and beyond to ensure her patient who was COVID positive and has a history of a heart transplant was discharged safely. When the patient spent over a week at the hospital, the wife (who is also a nurse) was getting worried. Nicki made sure she reassured the patient and his wife's fears by providing the best explanations as much as she could and involved the whole team to ensure the patient's discharge planning went according to plans. The patient was eventually discharged according to plans and it was done with the safety of the patient at heart, thanks to all of Nicki's efforts!
