Katie went above and beyond with both her personal and medical skills. My husband was a patient for a surgical biopsy of his bladder. His surgery was scheduled for late in the day so by the time we encountered Katie it was near the end of her shift (9:30 pm). Despite what I am sure was a busy day for her, she was cheerful and educational. Because my husband needed to go home with a catheter bag, Katie was very aware that we needed to be prepared for the next week of changing and managing the catheter bag by ourselves. She was instructional and explained the process in laymen's terms and made sure we knew what to do when we arrived home. All of the staff we encountered were kind and caring but Katie stood out to us.
