Jane started her career here at Chino Valley Medical Center in 1995 as a charge nurse in the Transitional Care Unit (TCU). Prior to working for CVMC she had already gained valuable experience overseas as a nurse in several specialty areas. She is currently a charge nurse on the Med Surg/Telemetry Unit (MST) and has been in that same position for over 10 years. Jane was nominated by a coworker who had the following to say about her:

... I see her in charge of a very busy unit and she is always composed and on top of every detail that occurs on the unit. She is always calm and collected in a crisis situation no matter how big or small. More importantly, and the reason I am nominating her, is her ability to work with even the most difficult patients and help them see how the care we are providing will give them the best chance to recover and be well. Jane is always there with a hand on the patient or family's shoulder, a warm smile, and even shares a tear or two with a loss. Jane's compassion and caring is inspirational to us all. I recall one patient who we all know was very difficult, until Jane helped us intervene and advocate for her needs. It only took one day to have the patient smiling and helping us out instead of fighting with us. Jane is a true patient advocate, a caring and compassionate individual, and a true Nurse in every sense of the word.
