During my daughter's stay the staff were the friendliest, most qualified people that I have ever encountered. They knew what needed to be done, at what time and did it with a smile and compassion. Questions were answered quickly with a friendly disposition. They demonstrated a high level of professionalism, devotion, warmth and attention to my daughter. I believe that the staff was reflective of their leadership.
There were angels present; not with wings and halos but with the spirit of healing and compassion. I heard a quote one day and never understood the meaning until now, "Save a life and you are a hero; save a thousand lives, you are a nurse." One nurse reflected this quote, Lily Adams. Lily epitomizes standards, compassion, caring, kindness and passion that true nurses are born with - they are gifts from God. And in an ever calming voice of comfort, her attention to details, efforts in communicating and coordinating physicians and other healthcare professionals was exceptional.
What I am speaking of goes beyond the job, it goes beyond duty and responsibility. What I am speaking of is not measurable; Lily has 'IT'. Try to label 'IT' if you want, I am simply going to accept it for what 'IT' is, a gift.
