Jaime is compassionate about her job and the patients she takes care of at Stormont Vail Health. She takes control of any situation she is faced with to make sure her patient gets the best care possible. She gets involved with the family before surgery and keeps them informed through the entire procedure. She took care of a patient who came in for a scheduled major/complicated surgery. She made him feel comforted that he was in good hands along with assuring his family. It was an all-day surgery. She kept the wife well informed throughout the whole day. She followed his progress during his recovery. When things didn't turn out as planned it really affected her. She has continued to follow the updates on his progress his wife reports. She truly is a mindful and caring nurse.

One thing that Jaime does that shows extraordinary care is when she brings a patient to the Operating Room. She assures them of what is going on at all times in order to keep them relaxed. Jaime is very good with her patients and puts them at ease.
Positioning a patient for a long surgery can often be difficult. Jaime always ensures her patients are properly positioned and that adequate padding is used to prevent any injury to the patient. Jaime is an experienced cardiothoracic and vascular OR nurse. Jaime plays a critical role in training all of our new nurses.

Jaime is always a team player. She is very detail oriented. When it comes to her patients she always makes sure the patient is properly positioned and well-padded for our long heart cases. She is precise and careful in all her actions in the OR going above and beyond to make sure the room is ready and the team is taken care of.

Jaime always goes above and beyond with all of her patients but there is one occasion that stands out. We had a terminal patient that she continued to care for and check on for days after he left our operating room. She was there for him and for his family from day one.
She follows up with every patient we have - visiting them and checking on how they are and making sure their family is ok. She is also very particular on positioning and making sure the patient is safe and comfortable. She is very good at being a preceptor and answers questions informatively. She takes charge of situations and has a positive attitude. We would be lost without her.
