I was a preterm, 34 weeks, OB patient. I came to the hospital due to my water breaking. I was admitted and started on Pitocin and my first nurse left to assist in a delivery while I was still laboring. Tricia came in to fill in for just a moment and ended up assessing me. Found out my cord was prolapsed. She was able to reinsert my cord and help stabilize my baby's heart rate. She immediately called for help and a code Noel was initiated. She stayed on the bed with me even while I was started for emergency C-section. Tricia did not leave my side until they pulled my baby out. This was a life changing event for me and one which could have changed my life forever and Tricia was my rock during this time. I will never forget her. She acted perfectly under pressure and saved my and my baby's life. She is a true Hero.
