Rosie was nominated by the wife of a patient she cared for in the Critical Care Unit. The wife noted that during the week her husband was a patient she encountered staff that 'provided the highest level of service and care'. She said she and her family encountered professionals at every single touchpoint.
She went on to share that Rosie stood out among them all. She wrote, "Her professional demeanor, clear command of skill not only for patient care but in dealing with family members, was outstanding." The wife noted that it was Rosie who expertly managed a difficult phone call when she called to let his wife know that he had gone into a cardiac arrest. The wife noted that the phone call was a testament to Rosie's compassion for her fellow human beings.
The wife also wrote that Rosie was mentoring a nurse new to the unit -"It was simply amazing to watch her." She went on to say that on his last day she received a hug from Rosie and that was the one hug she wanted. She closed the nomination by saying that she wanted Rosie to know how much the care for her husband meant to her and wished her well in her challenging career that impacts so many lives.
