I was admitted to the Antepartum Unit with preterm contractions and high risk for preterm labor. I had wonderful care from all the nurses, but Katie went above and beyond! She was my nurse several nights out of my stay and she went so far out of her way to make sure that my husband and I felt taken care of.
She made us laugh, dried tears, and answered questions before we even had the chance to think of them. When it was clear that we were going to be staying for a while she got us a window room to help us feel a little more at home! She also always referred to our baby by name, making us feel like she was caring for our whole family, not just me. One particularly scary night, she came in to assist the nurse that was assigned to my care for the shift and stayed in our room for a while to provide additional comfort and to help answer questions as we waited for the doctor to arrive.
There really aren't enough ways for us to thank her!
