Dori Lacap has been a dedicated team member at Palisades Medical Center for over 28 years.
Whether it be with her interactions with her patients, her peers, or performing routine tasks, she always maintains high standards of professionalism. Dori stands out to her patients as compassionate, knowledgeable, relatable, and kind. She is consistent with her work ethics, time management, and meticulous documentation. She focuses on quality improvement initiatives. Without hesitation, Dori will take on any task to ensure patients' needs are met. She serves as a patient advocate.
She is an excellent resource for all nurses, new or seasoned, as she possesses vast knowledge in medical, surgical, and wound care. Dori is a great preceptor for new team members. She educates and ensures that new nurses adhere to policies and procedures. She is always with a great smile, easy to work with, and a pleasure to be around.
Before returning back to the bedside, Dori was our admission and discharge nurse. Her admission and discharge processes are comprehensive. She ensures that patients are thoroughly assessed, all questions and concerns are addressed and ALL LOOPS are closed. She always ensures safe admission and discharge measures for our patients. Her strength in patient communication and education have a strong part in her success. It is no surprise that she develops a lasting connection with her patients.
Dori is an exceptional nurse and has many attributes that are an asset to our organization.
During this time, when change is coming at the speed of light. Dori has adapted with a positive spirit and is receptive to all new information. We support the recognition of a team member with such commitment and dedication.
