After birth, she provided emotional support. We were both grief-stricken; her compassion was sincere and perfect. She offered her cell phone when ours died, timely hugs, and kind words. Before leaving, she stopped to check on us. The most unexpected and greatest gesture happened the following morning; Erin found we were still in the hospital and visited us in another section of the hospital; this meant so much. That compassion is appreciated and blew away my expectations of patient care.
