All your staff and nurses have been so great! I was not dissatisfied with any of my care. However, by the third day there, I had become concerned with the rate of my recovery. My fever and blood pressure kept going up and down. The reason I was concerned about my recovery is because my mother passed away 7 years ago from this condition. In my mind, I was not getting better.
One thing I love about the nurses here is the fact that they explain everything to me. I know what medications I am getting and when my next dose is due if needed. Rick not only did that, he also explained why and what side effects. Through his explanations and experience treating patients like me, he eased my concern without even knowing I had them. His genuine compassion and his true passion for what he does really come through in his care. He made me see that my fever and blood pressure will go up and down and that it was normal.
My only problem with him is that I cannot clone him and take him home with me.
