My 81-year-old father went in for an angiogram and was quite nervous about it. Cindy first took the time to introduce herself and explain that she would be taking care of him throughout the entire procedure. She made him feel at ease. She took the time to establish a rapport with him. She let my dad share stories about his home country, Germany. She shared her stories as well. My dad said she sang to him.
The results led to another surgery the next day. It brought relief knowing that Cindy was in the OR with him all day. The surgery lasted over 7 hours. Cindy could tell I was already exhausted and encouraged me to go home and/or get some rest since the surgery would last awhile. She kept me updated throughout the day reassuring me that the procedure was going well.
Cindy is truly an exemplary nurse! She went above and beyond, well, way above and beyond in her scope of professionalism, nursing expertise, and most of all treating our family with care and concern. She's a very compassionate DAISY Nurse. Thank you.
