Kelly is my favorite at PIH. He just has the perfect disposition for his job. A pleasant expression on his face and ready to help. He seems to go the extra mile and made sure I had food I could eat. He's a kind person. This is important when you're feeling hurt and scared. I feel better just having him check in. I feel like a person when he talks to me. Not just a patient in a bed. Thank you Kelly!

Kelly was nice, funny, easy to talk to, and quickly came to me. He listened whenever I rambled on about something. Kelly is very chill and shows no sign of annoyance or sign of being uninterested when around me. Kelly printed 14 pages total of information regarding 2 of my medications without a request. Sounds like something small but, it's the little things that don't go unnoticed. In the end, Kelly made my last stay at the hospital comfortable and he's a good representation of how a good nurse and human should be.

Just wanted to say how nice he was when he arrived. The stress I was feeling was immediately lifted when he asked how he could help us. Very caring, kind and a great personality.

Kelly is a very professional person. He cared very much for his patients. I feel lucky to have him as my nurse.

My father was admitted to Downey PIH for several days. We were fortunate to have Kelly as his dayshift nurse for at least 2 days. I watched first hand as Kelly took care of my father each day as I spent most of the day at the hospital. It is plain to see that Kelly takes a genuine interest in the patients under his care. His caring attitude, attentiveness, demeanor, and work ethic go into everything he does from ensuring my father was eating, giving him his meds, providing status updates on test results, and frequently checking on my father's comfort. Despite having a lot to do, he takes the extra minute to treat my father like a family member while performing his responsibilities, especially when my father became disoriented due to his age. In addition to his own duties, Kelly went the "extra mile" to ensure that the discharge planning staff followed up with me as several calls to them went without response and I was beginning to fret if the referrals were being sent to the SNFs that we had requested. Kelly took any concern or issue that we had (no matter how big or small) and made it his own. He goes above and beyond to ensure that every issue is resolved. It is a huge relief to know that someone like Kelly takes care of my father. His daily cheerful work performance and attention to duty are in the highest traditions of his profession. Kelly is a true DAISY Nurse.
