Carlyn started training me when I started on the 2700 Unit a few months ago as a new grad. She has taught me not only the type of nurse I aspire to be but the type of person everyone should be proud to know. She cares for her patients with heart and knowledge. She often covers for an employee in another department that has a chronic illness and needs treatments. /she is the first to offer a helping hand on the unit and to teach and give a compliment.
I cannot say enough about how Carlyn has made me feel welcome here and has said, "You are part of the team." I will tell you that as a new nurse, that means the world. And to see a nurse who has been doing this as long as she has, and to see how she has not lost her passion for their patients or their families...well that makes me grateful I decided to join this profession and this establishment.
Also, knowing her personal journey to get here make it even more special.
