I had a cardio cath done this past Tuesday and was blessed to have R.N. Mayra as one of my nurses. All of the nurses who attended me were great and worked together really well as a team, but I wanted to let you know that Mayra is an awesome nurse who goes above and beyond what is expected. Mayra has such a caring and attentive attitude; her personal and professional attitude made my experience there a lot better than it could have been. I had never had this procedure before, so I was a little apprehensive, but through Mayra's kindness, compassion, and positive attitude, I began to relax. She was just doing her job, and I could tell that she really loved her job because she cares about and likes to help people. She made sure that I understood what she was doing concerning my care; she ensured that I was comfortable in bed, contacted my son to let him know that I was okay and everything went well, and also assisted me to and from the restroom. This kind of caregiving means a lot to a patient and I am very thankful for the great quality of care provided by Mayra. I am happy to let you know that you have a great role model nurse who is a great asset to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Thank you so much.
