Although all the caregivers were kind and professional in their respective places, one RN outshined them all! Christina was with us from beginning to end. She was very understanding and showed concern for me and my husband. She assured us that things would be ok as we waited on one test after the other. She kept us informed of what was going on and why we had extended wait times for some testing that was ordered. Christina's compassionate, heartfelt attitude helped us to maintain peace of mind during this serious health crisis. Maintaining all of the necessary safety protocols surrounding COVID-19 made things a bit stressful because I was not supposed to be in the ED with my husband. Due to his cognitive disabilities, I am his advocate and I was asked to leave. I asked to speak to the ED director to explain why I had to remain with my husband. The director visited and we discussed my deep concerns about leaving him. She explained the ED policies and granted permission for me to remain with my husband. I am grateful for that exception being made. Christina again was very reassuring that she would take excellent care of my husband and the hands-on care we received at the Bedford ED by the medical staff was impeccable. I contribute our calmness and peace of mind to our very caring, professional RN, Christina Hudson. We have had to visit the ED in both Bedford and Lynchburg and no one has outshined Christina!
