Meg is well known for her charm, undying kindness, compassion, dedication and her very cool Canadian accent. Meg is often seen going out of her way to make sure her patients and co-workers are doing okay. Meg cares deeply how her patients are experiencing their care and is a fierce patient advocate. She focuses attention on doing what is right and safe for her patients.
Meg was caring for an elderly woman who had difficulty hearing. Meg quickly realized that the patient had been wearing hearing aids that no longer had a battery. On her break, Meg went out and bought batteries and replaced them in her patients hearing aids so she could hear. Needless to say, the patient was grateful and conversations with the patient after that were much quieter.
Simple acts of compassion and kindness resonate loudly. Meg's modesty and "that's not a big deal" attitude makes her a DAISY Nurse and a stand out as a star among stars.
