Karen and Zara take care of many patients each day, who suffer from various ailments. One patient, in particular, has a difficult time accepting treatment and these nurses have to work hard to get him to relent to their care. While coaxing him, Karen and Zara sing! They start with "Jesus Loves me" then sing "Jingle Bells." He loves both songs. They will sing songs as long as possible to calm the patient's anxiety. It is truly an amazing thing to listen to!
Professionalism: They go beyond professionalism in remaining calm and focused on assisting this patient.
Quality: They use exceptional nursing skills in doing what they need to do and getting it right the first time!
Respect: This patient can be difficult, but Karen and Zara are always calm and respectful in their interactions with him.
Service: These nurses sing to this patient, doing whatever it takes to ensure he is taken care of.
Teamwork: They work in unison, one nurse holding the patient while the other one works to do the infusion. Both singing together to calm him down.
For me, it is amazing to hear these girls sing to their patient. As their voices resonate through the hospital halls, it is a reminder that nurses are the heart of this facility and deserving of our utmost gratitude and praise!
