Justine cared for another MU Health Care nurse's mother who had severe pain and dementia. "Justine found ways to take care of my mom without making her fearful or in additional pain," the nomination read. "She always kept us informed as to the plan and where we would be going. Justine advocated for us and encouraged us on one of our toughest days."
In addition to taking care of her patient, Justine recognized the family member's fear and uncertainty. "I am sure she was heaven-sent on this day and am forever grateful for her," the nominator said.
