This nurse is kind with each one of her patients and treats them as if they are her own family. She is very patient, even with the busiest of shifts or sickest of families. She remains calm and brings a sense of ease to her co-workers, her patients and their families. She is very thorough with her work and a great team player. She precepts students as well as new nurses alike. She is exactly what I picture when I think of a nurse. She is the image of a perfect nurse: kind, caring, great skills, team player, doesn’t complain, and a patient advocate. She goes above and beyond to make sure the patient and their families have the best experience possible here at Knoxville. She has a great attitude all the way around. She is dedicated to service, has a passion for her profession and for the patients and their families. She is always her on time and can be called upon in a time of need. She has great ideas and is always willing to pitch in where needed. She prioritizes her assigned patient needs and gets them all done. She communicates with the resource nurses and physicians with a professional style. I can walk the halls and see her caring for her patient and listening to them and how they admire her. She is a DAISY Nurse.
Cheryl stayed with a family and explained in great detail the patient’s prognosis and was very sincere and caring. She also stayed with a dying patient and their family to comfort them in their time of sadness. She went way above her job as a nurse to see that their needs were met. She gives nurses a great name. She receives only compliments and praise from her co-workers. I could go on and on and on.
