WOW! Reese was exceptional, not only was this RN a Big Teddy Bear but he was calm, cool, caring, compassionate and goes over and beyond to make you feel like family. My father had a hemorrhage CVA. He was on the ventilator, not a good prognosis. It was just me and my sister from out of town, trying to deal with the fact that our father was dying and going to have to make the transition. I am an RN and know all too well what we were dealing with and having to be in the nurse role in making decisions. It was awful to be in my shoes. The shock disbelief and wanting to be in denial. Also, dealing with a sister who is not in the medical field on what was happening. The SICU nurses helped me with my decision and being there to comfort me. They offered emotional support and guidance. Not only dealing with it all but also helping me take care of my sister. Especially when I had to go home and get rest. Words cannot express the greatest medical care and professionalism I have ever seen. Reese even got a room so we could shower when we just didn't feel like leaving our dad in his final hours. Reese is God's angel. At our most fragile emotions, he hugged, loved and wrapped his arms, smile, and encouragement around us. I needed that and I needed Reese. Thank God for the blessing of this kind of nurse.
