Stacy is an amazing nurse. I could tell when I first met her that she was kind. As Stacy began to take care of my daughter I realized how much of a blessing she was to me, my daughter, and my family. Being a parent of a baby in the NICU is tough. Stacy listened to all the issues we were coping with such as childcare for our other children, keeping home life as normal as possible, and trying to be in the NICU with our new baby as much as we could. Stacy encouraged me and let me know I was doing an amazing job. By the end of our conversation, I was smiling and felt some relief.
Stacy was exceptional helping me with breastfeeding. I am passionate about it and she made it easy. Stacy helped me give my baby a bath when she found out I was really worried about doing it. She warmed the room so much that we were both sweating like crazy after the bath was over, but my baby was happy and content. Stacy even taught me how to do an infant massage. Every time Stacy cares for my daughter her room is clean and her bed tidy. She completes her duties but comforts my baby at the same time. Stacy is more than deserving of the DAISY Award.
