I wanted to let you know about a recent visit to the emergency room last Saturday. The nurse, Ellen, was awesome! She came in, checked his vitals again and went to get materials to access his SuperPort. She got an IV going and, because he was extremely nauseous, she gave him something for his nausea right away. She had a very steady hand and seemed very competent in what she was doing, making us feel confident. After she got the IV going, she stayed and chatted with us for a few minutes and pretty quickly had us all laughing. She was really good.
