My husband had an Esophagectomy and was then readmitted for pneumonia. We were on the unit 21 days total. Adam's knowledge and caring were critical during my husband's care. One day my husband's O2 sat was dropping, he had 1 chest tube in but something was wrong. Adam immediately took action with continuous pulse ox monitoring, getting on call MD to his room, cared for my husband's A-fib that started that night and he offered compassion and support as we walked through this frightening experience. We felt confident in his skills and decision making and were grateful for his intervention. He also went out of the way to do things like saving food from my husband's tray so he could eat it later. We are grateful for his competent and compassionate care.
