The CCU staff at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden has been phenomenal and top notch with the one to one care that my husband received. One APRN in particular truly stood out, he was absolutely amazing! I met Nathan in CCU in July 2018. My husband went to the ER suddenly for disorientation and he ended up being admitted as an Inpatient. His condition was eventually diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, Kidney failure, pneumonia, respiratory issues, and other medical complexities. My family and I had no idea what my husband's outcome would have been. Nathan broke down every aspect of my husband's condition so thoroughly that the average person can truly understand; without making my family and I feel any less. He put all of our anxieties and feelings at ease. His genuine caring nature truly shines through the passion he has in his profession. I have never seen in my experiences an APRN like Nathan who has not only a passion for his work but true genuine compassion for his patients and their families. Even outside of Nathan's CCU domain his disposition never changed. He always recognized and acknowledged my family and me. On one of my husband's bad days, Nathan helped tremendously and went above and beyond to help me. He stepped up and contacted my husband's doctor, nurse, and talked with me extensively to calm my nerves as well as my fears. He answered all of my questions and concerns that particular day. I went home that day feeling a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Nathan is truly an amazing person who deserves recognition! My husband's condition has greatly improved and I am grateful that Nathan had a chance to see that and talk to my husband. Nathan's part played a tremendous role in his recovery.
