I have been in and out of the hospitals over these past six years and not once have I been honored to meet a Charge Nurse who went above and beyond to help me understand my situation a little better until I met Maria.
Maria went out of her way to explain to me in regular "English" where I could understand more clearly of what was going on with me. I know Charge Nurses have a lot on their plates but she still managed to change my IV, explain my lab results, listened to all my concerns, and answer all questions. Being a frequent patient in hospitals like me can get very frustrating and tiring especially when I'm in pain. Maria went that extra mile and called the doctor to get me the right medicine, to help relieve my pain.
For the first time out of all my hospital stays, I felt important. Maria sure made me feel like family and not just any patient. Her kindness is inspiring. Her care and compassion put me at ease. Maria, I'm truly honored to have met you and had you as my Charge Nurse. Thank you, Maria, for brightening my day!
