Abby quite simply cared for my son when he was unable to care for himself. My son crashed with massive blood loss and was being prepped for an emergent procedure with tubes all over my child and a terror like no other gripping my soul. She told me clearly and firmly, "He's in the best place possible. We are equipped to handle this." She said it slowly, looking in my eyes and her strength penetrated my fog as I began to breathe as she worked on my son with quick efficiency and knowledge.
Things got worse before they got better but Abby helped guide us through it with constant reports, giving us information like a starving man needs a cracker. She answered our many questions, quite a few which were repeated I am sure. Abby also handled some family discord with professionalism and calm.
