Here is what the staff on the F7 Stem Cell Transplant unit had to say about Norman's dedication to nursing and to our patients and families:

"Norman always goes above and beyond for our patients. He truly cares about them and is one of the most compassionate nurses I have ever seen. Recently, one of his patients passed away. To help ease the family's tension, he contacted the local Honor Guard to help ensure the proper transport of the body of the patient, who was a veteran, back to his home state. This was a huge help to the family and they were very appreciative."

"He not only cares about the patients' medical problems but also cares about their emotional well being. For example, one patient liked a particular brand of coffee that was not available at the hospital. This was very important to the patient so Norman found a store that sold this brand and brought it to her. We had another patient that was having a problem eating. One day he told Norman he could eat a burger from Burger King. Norman went after his shift and returned with the hamburger for the patient."

"Norman is always willing to assist the staff in times of need. He put his patients' needs above everything else and goes out of his way to make sure the patients are comfortable. He has a good report with all of his patients, nurses, patient care technicians and doctors."
