I had noticed Nurse Rick before my mom had him as her nurse. He seemed to enjoy his work and interaction with other nurses on the unit. He's a team player. He is eager to assist when asked to. Rick has a talent to make medical language comprehensible with ease. This is so important to all patients. When loved ones are very ill and there is so much information to absorb, he makes sure that you understand the information correctly. I realize there are many very sick patients here and much has to be done in making sure that they receive the very best of care that Memorial Hermann Northwest is so very well known for. Rick is a true jewel on MHNW's crown.

Rick was able to translate his wealth of medical knowledge into layman terms for his patients. He let me know the most important information that I needed to relay to him about my mom's condition including the side effects of certain medications. I'm here almost 24/7. I can appreciate this because each and every patient has needs that he has to meet beside just give meds. His compassion is off the Richter scale. He really talked to my mom as he bandaged her heel because she was in so much pain. He explained why and how they had to be very careful with pain meds and dialysis patients. Rick has been an angel in accommodating some of my mother's medical needs and making me comfortable as I wait and spend nights/days here. He is a breath of fresh air.

Nurse Rick Ho is a great asset at Memorial Hermann Northwest. He does what he says he would do. He takes care of patients with a smile.
