The DAISY In-Training Award was presented to Ms. Sue Toberman at our Commencement Ceremony in December 2014. Sue is a flight nurse with LIFESTAR Aeromedical Services in Knoxville, Tenn.
Ms. Toberman is an experienced nurse who returned to get her MSN in the Adult Health program. She is a passionate nurse meeting needs of trauma and critically ill patients. She is presently the clinical coordinator for UT Medical Center Life Star. Sue is passionate about using evidence based practice to improve outcomes of trauma victims and those requiring emergent care for complex critical conditions. Sue is involved in developing protocols to improve survival rates of trauma victims. She utilizes her leadership skills to improve communication and assist members of her team with conflict resolution. She has very high standards for clinical excellence and guides and coaches her team members to achieve excellence in patient and family care.
