Kaman has been constantly recognized for above and beyond in her extraordinary patient care. Several patients on 5S/MBU have recognized Kaman during discharge follow-up calls for her excellent care and personal attention.
We had Kaman assigned to us on the UW side. One struggle I have noticed on the UW side is that the day largely depends on the three nurses assigned to that side. It can be really hellacious without a strong, collaborative team. Kaman was fantastic. She jumped in and helped others as their day got busy. My experience with her has always been positive. She has a great work ethic and strong clinical competency. Between her and our other nurses it was a great day on the UW side.

Kaman is a true team player. She approaches each assignment with a team-centered approach, is always willing to help others, and is frequently recognized by our Resource Team staff in rounding. One of our nurse techs had this to say about Kaman: "Kaman and I had worked together with the previous shift, and I only realized at the end of my shift that she was resource nurse, while she then only realized that I was a tech nurse. The next shift, Kaman happened to float to the same unit I was on and made a point of finding me and letting me know that if I was interested, she would be willing to supervise me for medical administration or whatever other tasks might arise. It is one thing to have someone who is willing to teach and supervise you and entirely another when they actively seek you out to offer you the opportunity. Not only did I find the experience enriching and educational, but it also made me feel incredibly welcome and valued as a member of the Resource Team." Kaman went through the Resource Team New Grad Residency in 2017 and is a mentor to our new grads.
Kaman is an asset to UW Medicine and the Resource Team. She is engaged in her practice and focused on the best outcome for each patient she cares for.
