I was admitted after suffering a stroke. From the time I arrived at the unit, I was treated with such compassion and professionalism. From the doctors who explained each step to the nurses who treated me like a member of their own family and proactively attended to all my needs. I can truly say I was taken care of by the best of the best. Thank you!

Since my admission, I have had the most caring, kind nurses on this unit. When I was having difficulty communicating, the nurses were patient, kind, and helpful to me. I have never encountered a better staff. I would like to especially like to mention Kayla Krystek, Brandon Hardy, and Anthony DiNardo. All of them went above and beyond.

I am nominating the entire JHN Acute Stroke unit for this wonderful award. I was scared and alone in these times of Covid-19, but this team of wonderful nurses, techs, and doctors treated me with such care and compassion. I am a small town gal that found herself far away from home and alone. Every nurse, tech, and doctor explained everything that was happening throughout my stay. They were all so pleasant, kind, and professional. I can't say enough kind things about this team. It is no wonder that Jefferson is ranked among the top in the country. The JHN Acute Stroke team (all shifts) deserves this award. Sincerely with gratitude!
