Yaniel Mendez, RN is recognized for his compassion and thoughtfulness throughout the three days on shift he took care of M.
M stated " I was feeling down and depressed and Yaniel was the nurse who brought those spirits up and just made my day that much better. He even drew a great picture of me and one of a boat since I work in the cruise industry"
This not only brought M’s spirits up but also encouraged him to clinically get better and follow our suggestions on proning and managing to stay relaxed. Today M is clinically much better and has a very positive attitude toward his progress and prognosis, and I believe Yaniel has a great deal to thank for that.
