Tabetha LaMagna is an amazing Nurse. She has been a Nurse at Banner Boswell Medical Center since 2006. Tabi’s reputation for kindness, empathy, and selflessness precedes her. No matter where you are in the hospital, if you mention Tabi’s name, the answer is always the same, “Oh, I love her!” After having worked with Tabi myself in the Intensive Care Unit, and now in the Same-Day Surgery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, I am able to see first-hand the care and passion she pours into each of her patients. There are so many examples of when Tabi has gone, what most would consider, “above and beyond”, but that’s just Tabi. Her compassion really shows through with patients that are confused or suffering from other cognitive deficits. She cares for these patients with what I have coined “Tabi’s Touch.” Anytime we have a patient that is struggling, we ask Tabi for help. Without fail the patients seem to connect with her and their whole demeanor changes. A Nurse’s to-do list is never-ending and always growing, but Tabi takes the time to just “be” with her patients, holding their hand and soothing their soul.
