She treated me like she knew me, she treated me with love and care.
Melanie is the best nurse ever. Even when she wasn't assigned to me, she would still check on me to see how I was doing. There were many nurses I liked because they treated me right, but Melanie always stood out. I was feeling depressed, was in a lot of pain, and felt like I was going to have a nervous breakdown.  Melanie came into my room to comfort me. She even found a solution to decrease my pain by repositioning my leg and that helped a lot. She also talked to me and calmed me down. With her doing those things I didn't feel alone, I didn't feel like no one had my back because she for sure had mine. During shift change if Melanie was my nurse, she would somehow choose a nurse that she believed would be a good fit for me, her judgment was never wrong. She also made sure she told them my condition and how to handle my leg, so they wouldn't be lost and wouldn't handle my leg aggressively. She treated me like she knew me, she treated me with love and care. I hated when she left work for a day or two, even at shift change. She is a very busy nurse but made time to make sure I am okay. I am thankful for her. I was blessed just to have her, I thank God for her. Telling her I appreciate her is just not enough. She most definitely deserves an award. I could never forget about her not even in four years, as a matter of fact, NEVER! I wish I had more space to write, but I love her so much, she forever has a place in my heart.
