Regina has always been a positive force within our unit. Every patient she cares for is her priority and passion. She is a patient advocate and considers the needs of our patients even after their stay in our unit. We recently had a patient who was homeless and would be discharged to a long-term care facility. Regina brought in not only clothes for this patient, but also toiletries and other personal care items. She spoke with the patient frequently, even if he was not assigned to her that day. She made sure to go above and beyond with his grooming to help restore dignity and have a fresh start to his new beginnings at this long-term care facility. This patient expressed his gratitude and definitely expressed a more positive attitude after such a traumatizing event and lengthy hospital stay.
