In the past three months, Stacey has demonstrated heart, help, and hope to us.
From our first trip to the VA, when my WWII vet papa was here for heart failure, to our second trip (for the same condition) Stacey Meyer was welcoming, caring, committed to putting us at ease, competent, expedient yet attending. Stacey’s heart for veterans sang to us and her nursing skills calmed our anxieties.

In the past three months, Stacey has demonstrated heart, help, and hope to us. We arrived frightened and my (then) 99-year-old dad was in heart failure. Stacey tended to dad skillfully with obvious compassion. When dad was ambulanced away, Stacey held my hand and offered assurance and encouragement. Stacey called later to check on dad’s progress. The second time dad arrived at the VA (after the emergency pacemaker was dislodged) we were so relieved to see Stacey greet us. Immediately, we knew we were in competent care.

When dad was ambulanced away again, Stacey was “home” to me. Stacey has been available whenever dad has been in need. During doctor visits for dad, when Stacey is working, we make certain to visit the “Angel” who was with us from the beginning of this arduous journey for Papa. There are not enough words or lines on this page to adequately describe the blessing Stacey has been to this WWII Vet (now 100) and his daughter.
