What makes Erica outstanding is how she communicates effectively when providing updates to myself and my family.
My mother was hospitalized. I am one of seven siblings, and I was chosen as the primary contact for the hospital. Erica has been her RN since mom's admittance. Each time I spoke with Erica, she was pleasant and professional. She provided information that served as updates to my siblings, and she made things very simple.
Our family had great concerns regarding my mother being fed meals on time by the PCT. Erica was able to follow up promptly to provide answers to our family. She assured us that our concerns were being addressed by her nursing manager. Within 45 minutes, I received a phone call from the nursing manager assuring myself and my family that it was handled. What makes Erica outstanding is how she communicates effectively when providing updates to myself and my family. She has a checklist that we go over, and she patiently makes sure I understand before leaving the room. Erica takes the time to make sure my mother is comfortable, clean, and fresh. She assures us that our high concern for bedsores is being monitored and my mom is being rotated as needed to minimize bedsores. If I’m ever hospitalized, I would welcome Erica as my RN because she really, genuinely cares and she shows it based on how she treats her patients, primarily my mother. Updates are very important to families and Erica acknowledges that!
