Katy was the light at the end of the tunnel and a resting place during my COVID hospitalization. If it wasn’t for her, I would probably have a slower recovery! As I got to know her, my respect for her has grown. As I watched how efficient she was, I was in awe during what must have been a busy, demanding, and stressful day. I have not seen a smile misplaced, a request forgotten, nor a schedule delayed. Even with all of that happening, she manages to engage with the patients on a comfort level. Katy sees you as an old friend and that I believe is an important character, which bonds with the patients. When she and I were talking, I learned that she has two little girls, which triggered something inside me. I can return home to my daughter, another mother, who is at the front lines for me.
