Jodi was my nurse from 7p-7a. She was very supportive when I was in active labor, something I loved was that she knew different stretching techniques that really helped me in labor. For that I am grateful she was also my nurse.

I received incredible care from ALL the nurses and staff at women and children's, but especially wanted to wrote and recognize Jodi. I was a patient in women and children's and had been having a long and challenging experience in labor for the very first time as a new mom. After being induced, I had been laboring for almost 24 hours when Jodi was assigned to me at shift change. I had hit a wall with frustration for a whole range of reasons - but then Jodi showed up with incredible energy and confidence that we were going to have a baby - and she made it happen! She helped coach me through the experience, providing a ton of expertise without being at all condescending, and she helped give me and my husband a great experience giving birth to our daughter. She knew so much about how to move me through different positions to move the process forward and kept the room calm and positive even when we hit some challenging points. We were so grateful she came to us when she did - I really feel lucky and feel strongly that, without her skill and composure, I may have ended up needing a C-section or other intervention.
