Kayla’s soft voice, caring touch, and ability to read our son's body language were instrumental.
Kayla’s compassion and attention to detail while caring for her patients, parents, and colleagues were unforgettable. Our son has Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy and underwent corrective surgery on both hips and femur. The surgery is long and invasive, and the recovery process is extremely painful. Kayla’s soft voice, caring touch, and ability to read our son's body language were instrumental. She knew when he was in pain or when he was feeling comfortable without him even saying a word. When our son started feeling better, she patiently entertained stories about his favorite movie, Goosebumps, and did it with enthusiasm. We were blessed and thankful for Kayla’s care.

Kayla’s manager added: Kayla has been a member of the 7 North team for over three years. Starting as a nurse resident, it’s been a pleasure to watch her learn and grow. Kayla’s positivity and love for nursing make her an asset when serving as a mentor and peer advisor for the RN Residency Program. She advocates for her patients and families and is known for effectively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. We are so lucky to have her.
