My time with Kelly prompted me to reflect on my own service journey.
When my doctor first announced that surgery was needed, one of my first concerns was my dependency on nurses during my initial recovery. I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly during those critical hours following my surgery. Her patience, compassion, and kindness allowed me to relax and focus on feeling better. My pivotal moment of clarity happened when Kelly carefully and thoroughly sanitized areas that were beyond my reach without the slightest hesitation. Her genuine quest to ensure I was comfortable during my most vulnerable state is what I am so very grateful for! My time with Kelly prompted me to reflect on my own service journey. As an educator, services are truly what drives the work and is more of a ministry! I want to urge LCMH to intentionally strive to retain talent like Kelly! As I share my surgery story with my friends, family, and colleagues, the OSF LCMH brand will surely experience a positive impact. This is a proud testament of Kelly and her team’s work with patients like me who are striving to recover during one of life’s most challenging events – major surgery. Thank you, Kelly!
