Maria returned the next night and brought a bible from her home to give to the patient.
Maria is an excellent, empathetic, caring, and kind nurse. She takes the time to make sure all of her patients are well taken care of. She is also a preceptor for novice nurses. When Maria is working, she always offers to help her coworkers if help is needed. Maria once had a patient who had many respiratory comorbidities and was very anxious and scared. The patient was religious but was unable to practice her religion while in the hospital because of a lack of resources. Maria asked the patient if she wanted a bible because the patient was a practicing Christian. The patient said yes. Maria returned the next night and brought a bible from her home to give to the patient. This situation is probably one of her many acts of kindness. Maria is an excellent nurse whose work should be recognized.
