I have worked with many nurses over the years and all are attentive to the needs of their patients and sometimes family too. I have had the honor and pleasure of working alongside Jill Jarvie on many occasions. She is attentive, compassionate, skillful, empathetic, and a gifted listener. I have seen her rejoice in the joy of the patients, laugh with patients, and cry, right along with patients and their families when they have received bad news.

During this pandemic, Jill has reached out to many family members of patients to provide extra emotional and comforting support. And with patients to provide compassionate encouragement and to provide hope in the worst of times. She goes well beyond her scope in duty, for example: with one of the patients and family’s she took on many roles to ensure the patient and family received the care and outside help they needed. This family had been let down by other health care professionals before, but Jill, due to her compassionate understanding, was able to fulfill the needs and wants of the entire family. Jill Jarvie is a true DAISY Nurse for her extraordinary and compassionate skills.
